Okay...nevermind

So it's been one year exactly since I decided to make my blog private.  Since then I have done absolutely nothing with it!!  I guess I'll keep it open.  I'm gonna get going on this blogging thing again too.  I'm not gonna go through and make posts for everything that has happened over the last year though.  So a quick catch up.  I had a baby.  Emily Jane makes baby number four for our family and she is a great little addition.  She went through a very fussy, clingy phase which got pretty frustrating for me. (And others, sorry sitters. And Kirk.)  She recently stopped nursing and then was switched to soy formula and is back to the happy little thing she used to be.  It's great because now I like her again! ;o)  Not that I ever stopped loving her.  Ellie started the 2nd grade in September and is excelling.  She is reading at an end of the year 3rd grade level and doing advanced math as well.  She is continuing her tap lessons and piano lessons.  And she loves it.  She will be 8 in just over a week now and is very excited for her upcoming baptism.  Paden started Kindergarten in September and absolutely LOVES school!!  He too is reading and doing math at an advanced level.  His teacher adores him and is always telling me stories about things he has done or said.  She likes his unique way of speaking and told me she will purposely ask him questions just to hear him answer.  Riley is our little bulldozer!!  He is loving his alone time with Mom and Dad while the older kids are at school.  Luckily Emily doesn't take too much time from his attention from Daddy.  Even if she did I don't think he would mind too much.  He loves his little sister and is always telling me what a "cute, widdo pwincess" she is.  Riley has such a cute and fun personality.  He cracks me up. Right now he is obsessed with black.  He wants everything to be black right down to his future children.  He is hilarious.  Kirk is busy with work and school.  He will be finishing his bachelor program this summer and we are so excited for him to be done!!  I keep busy as a stay at home mom and part time cake decorator.  I love that I get to raise my children.  Not that everyday is perfect.  Heck, I don't think we've had a perfect day at all but I love it and wouldn't want it any other way.  Well...there's a quick catch up.  I promise to be a little better with this whole blogging thing.  But just a little...

And you are...?

It's that time everybody.  My sisters and I have been talking about our blogs recently.  We have noticed lots of visitors that we don't know.  I know that I have a lot friends that read this blog but never or rarely comment.  I know that some of my friend's and family's friends and families check in here too.  I am completely fine with that.  As long as it is people that come from people I know.  It's the people from Africa and Europe.  I can't think of who they would know that I know.  Anyway,  I'm going private.  If you would like to keep following my blog leave me a comment and I will send you an invite.  Even if we don't know each other personally but you know someone I know.  Just let me know who we're connected through.  I know that since my family is so entertaining (ha ha) that everyone will be falling all over themselves to leave me their email addresses!!  ;o)

It's a...

We had our ultrasound today.  Kirk always likes to find out and I always like to be surprised.  We were surprised with Ellie and Riley and found out with Paden.  Kirk felt it was only fair that he get to find out with this one.  I guess since it was his turn to choose it was only fair to find out.  The compromise was that we would have the tech put the results in an envelope and find out together as a family.  Ellie got the honors of telling what baby #4 is.  We are very excited!!

Piano playing and the sillies

I have very silly kids!!  They adore one another (most of the time) and love to play together (most of the time).  One of their favorite things is seeing if they can all fit in little places.  I think it's pretty cute and only occasionally ends in tears.
Ellie has been taking piano lessons from Tegan for a little while now and I keep forgetting to post this video. She does a pretty good job. We need to get a little better at practicing every day. This song she had been playing for a little while before we got it on video.

Saturday mornings tend to be very silly.  I think it has a bit to do with Ellie not having to go to school and us usually staying in jammies until 11.  Here are Ellie and Paden telling us a story...I think.
And lastly we have a little video of the Riley Boo.  Paden had just been dropped off at his friend's house and we were having Mommy/Riley time.

Just One Good Picture...Please!

Paden is in a weird photo stage right now. It worries me a little for when we get our family photos done. I can't get him to take a nice picture. Every picture looks like he is flashing gang signs and he has a goofy look on his face. I hope he gets past this soon. Although we have been in this stage for a bit now. This is just a few. Take a look...

I don't know what I am going to do. I think it might wear off soon...I hope. Oh well.

Also...

I know this is long over due but for those of you that saw the post about his fingers back in April I have one last picture that I never posted. This was taken about 3 weeks after the accident. If you look at his fingers now, 6 months later, you can barely see the scarring. I am so happy that things turned out well for those little fingers of his.

I've got my hands full

I love my children. I really do. Everyone always talks about how different kids are from each other. Ellie and Paden did have their differences but for the most part they were really good kids. Riley is his own person!!! He's a good kid but man is he busy!! I feel like I spend all day, everyday getting him out of things or off of things. Picking up all the things he has gotten out. He makes me tired. I love him to pieces and everytime I catch him in something he has a huge grin on his face. It's that grin that keeps him out of too much trouble. That and the fact that he is only 15 months old. Here are some pictures of a few of the things he has been up to this last week. Yes, just a week.

Here he is playing on the computer. Notice the missing buttons? Makes it very difficult to capitalize.

Here he getting into left over dinner. He loves ketchup.

Here he is stealing Sam's lunch. That look on his face? That's him looking at Sam when Sam noticed his lunch being eaten.

Just a better picture of him in the act.

This was dinner. Kirk set the pizza down in the middle of the tablewhile he waited for the oven to finish heating up. Riley somehow got to the pizza (there were no chairs at the table) ripped through the plastic wrap and stole a piece of Canadian Bacon.

This is a foot trail that I found on Sunday while I was folding laundry. I looked up to see Riley standing in front of me with his hands covered in white powder. The foot trail left behind him. I grabbed the camera and snapped this picture before I knew what was at the end of the trail.

Luckily it was an almost empty bag of powdered sugar. He still managed to get it everywhere!! The counters, floor, cupboards, stove, all over the oven front. It only took a few minutes to clean up thank goodness.
He is such a pill but so stinking cute. I can't help but laugh when I see this stuff.

A Nice Little Seat

Riley has discovered a new little place to sit. It cracks me up and he is always sitting there. He thinks that he is pretty hot stuff and I think he is too cute!!
